This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Ratermann Manufacturing, Inc. ("Ratermann," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users ("User" or "you") of the www.rmiorder.com and askrex.com websites (together, the "Site"), the Rex mobile app for Android and iOS (the "App"), and all related products, services, and tools — including Rex, our AI assistant. References to the Site in this policy include the App. This policy has been updated to reflect applicable 2026 privacy requirements, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and current best practices for AI-powered tools.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Identification Information We may collect personal information when you visit our Site, register an account, place an order, subscribe to communications, or interact with our AI assistant. This may include your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and payment information. You may visit the Site anonymously; however, declining to provide certain information may limit your ability to use some features. Sensitive Personal Information In limited circumstances, we may collect payment card data or other sensitive information solely to process your transactions. We do not use sensitive personal information for any purpose beyond fulfilling your order or as required by law.
Non-Personal / Technical Information We may automatically collect non-identifying information such as browser type, device type, operating system, IP address, and usage data when you interact with our Site or App, including through Google Analytics (see Section 4). AI Interaction Data When you use our AI assistant, we may collect the content of your queries and interactions. See Section 7 for full details on how AI interaction data is handled.
Rex Account, App, and Photo Data To use Rex on askrex.com or in the Rex mobile app, you create an account with your email address and a password; you may also add your name. When you chat with Rex, we collect your messages and any contact details you choose to share in them, such as your name, email address, or phone number. If you attach photos — by uploading an image or, in the App, taking one with your device's camera — we store those photos with your conversation and use them to answer your question. The App accesses your camera and photo library only when you choose to attach a photo. Photos are optional; you can use Rex without them.
2. How We Use Collected Information
● To process and fulfill orders — transaction data is used only to provide the requested service.
● To personalize your experience — aggregate usage data helps us understand how users interact with our Site.
● To improve our Site and services — feedback and usage patterns inform ongoing improvements.
● To communicate with you — order confirmations, updates, and, if opted in, company news and product information. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by contacting us directly.
● To respond to customer service inquiries — your information helps us assist you more effectively.
● To comply with legal obligations — we retain and disclose data as required by applicable law.
3. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Order and transaction records are generally retained for seven (7) years for tax and legal compliance. Rex conversations — including your messages, Rex's responses, photos you attach, and contact details you share — are retained indefinitely as a record of your support and order history, unless you delete them or ask us to. You can delete an individual conversation at any time from the conversation list in Rex. Deleting your Rex account does not delete past conversations; see Section 7 for details. You may request deletion of your data subject to applicable legal retention requirements.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience, analyze usage, and support site functionality. We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the Site and the App. Google Analytics uses cookies and a device identifier to collect usage information such as pages viewed and interactions. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies or receive alerts when cookies are sent. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain parts of the Site. 5. How We Protect Your Information
We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All sensitive data exchanged between the Site and its Users is transmitted over SSL-encrypted connections. In the event of a data security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
6. Sharing Your Personal Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
● Service providers — trusted vendors who assist in operating our Site, App, and services, bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations. These include payment processors and shipping carriers; for Rex, they also include artificial intelligence providers that process your messages and photos to generate responses, cloud hosting and database providers that store your account and conversations, customer support and record-keeping platforms that hold copies of conversations so our staff can follow up, email delivery providers, and analytics providers (Google Analytics).
● Legal compliance — when required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental
authority.
● Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your
information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
● Aggregated data — non-identifiable, aggregated demographic data may be shared with business partners for analytical purposes.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Rex, Our AI Assistant — Important Disclosures
Disclosure: You Are Interacting with an Artificial Intelligence Tool. Rex is Ratermann
Manufacturing's AI-powered assistant to help answer product questions, inquiries,
and general customer service questions. This assistant is an automated, AI-based
tool, not a human representative of Ratermann Manufacturing.
⚠ AI Accuracy Disclaimer: The information provided by our AI assistant is generated automatically and may not always be complete, current, or accurate. The AI assistant should not be solely relied upon for critical purchasing, technical, safety, or compliance decisions. Please contact Ratermann Manufacturing directly to verify any information provided by the AI assistant before acting on it. What data the AI assistant collects: When you interact with our AI assistant, the content of your conversation (your questions, any photos you attach, and the AI's responses) will be logged and processed by our AI service providers to generate responses. This data may be used to improve the performance and accuracy of the assistant, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality of service.
How AI interaction data is used: AI interaction logs are not used to make automated decisions that significantly affect your legal rights or consumer standing. This data is not sold to third parties. Interaction data may be reviewed by Ratermann staff for quality assurance purposes.
Opt-out: If you prefer not to interact with our AI assistant, you can do so by not using askrex.com or the Rex app.
Reporting AI responses: If Rex gives a response that is inaccurate, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate, please report it to rex@rmimfg.com with "Rex Feedback" in the subject line.
Deleting your Rex account. You can delete your Rex account at any time from the Account page in Rex, or by following the steps at app.askrex.com/delete-account. If you can't sign in, email rex@rmimfg.com from the address you registered with. When you delete your account, your login and profile (name, email address, and account settings) are permanently deleted. Your past conversations — including messages, attached photos, contact details you shared in them, and any tank builds you saved — are kept for order-history and audit purposes, no longer linked to your account. This includes copies held by our customer support and record-keeping providers. To ask us to delete those as well, email rex@rmimfg.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line.

9. Children's Privacy
Our Site is not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
10. Third-Party Links
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
